Kennedy signing confirmed

From the Sabres:

BUFFALO, NY (June 1, 2008) – Buffalo Sabres GM Darcy Regier announced today
the Sabres have agreed to terms on a two-year entry-level contract with forward
Tim Kennedy, who recently completed his junior season with the Michigan State
Spartans. Kennedy was originally drafted in the sixth round (181st overall) of
the 2005 Entry Draft by Washington, but his rights were acquired by Buffalo in a
draft day trade with the Capitals.
“We are thrilled to have a player of Tim’s
caliber join the Sabres organization,” said Regier. “After three years at
Michigan State, we believe this local product is ready to make the move to the
professional level.”

  1. It’s hard getting a draft preview finalized with all of these signings. Good to see for sure.

  2. Good signing. Anytime your franchise goaltender encourages management to sign a player, I think that’s something the team needs to get done. There’s much to be said about the Sabres peppering their lineup with NCAA Div. 1 graduates.
