Ennis to wear "A" for Team Dub

Medicine Hat’s Tyler Ennis has been named assistant captain for Team WHL when the ADT Canada-Russia Challenge closes with the final two games Wednesday and Thursday.

Zach Boychuk (Lethbridge Hurricanes), Tyler Ennis (Medicine Hat Tigers) and Dana Tyrell (Prince George Cougars) have been named as the assistant captains for Team WHL. Boychuk and Ennis are also assistant captains on their respective Clubs, while Tyrell is the Cougars team captain. All three players competed in last years’ ADT Canada Russia Challenge.

Seattle’s Thomas Hickey (LAK) will wear the “C”.

Bakes, how many draft picks do we have next year? (maybe including a possible compensation pick for Kriukov)

  2. As of now, the Sabres have:1st3rd – from LA (Bernier deal)4th5th6th7th- 2009 2nd rounder went to SJ (Rivet)- Their own 3rd rounder goes to LA.I’m not holding my breath on Kriukov, as it’s linked to a transfer agreement being in place. At this point, he’ll probably be retired by the time that mess is settled.

Thanks. Damn, we better work on getting back that 2nd rounder, or trade someone at the deadline for another first rounder. Do you think a Zagrapan trade is possible? (Package him with someone like Tallinder?)

…not necessarily a trade at the deadline for a 1st or 2nd rounder, just a trade in general.

  5. I’m not sure there any parties looking to add Zagrapan. He’s a guy who’ll have to stick or face waivers next year – if he even re-signs. I think getting another first or a higher second will take more.I’m like 29 other GMs in the league – see if you can position yourself for a run at Bouwmeester. I’m OK trading Tallinder’s team-friendly contract if it helps now and next year.
