Kassian suspended, full ruling expected Tuesday

Zack Kassian has been suspended for game #4 of the OHL Western Conference after earning a match penalty in the final minute of Saturday’s loss to Owen Sound.

From the Windsor Star:

WINDSOR, Ont. — The Ontario Hockey League has informed the Windsor Spitfires that forward Zack Kassian will be suspended for tonight’s Game 4 of the Western Conference final against the Owen Sound Attack. A league spokesman said the suspension could be longer and a decision on that will be announced Tuesday.

Kassian was given a match penalty for intent to injure Owen Sound defenceman and former Spitfire Jesse Blacker in the final seconds of Saturday’s 6-4 comeback win by the Attack in Owen Sound.

  3. if things don't change, Kass could end up costing the team more than helping. Mental skills coaching jsut as important as his on-ice training at this point

can't respect someone that doesn't respect his fellow man. i like money, that doesn't mean i'll beat someone up for it. same principle. tough is not the same as violently dirty. lose the latter before i want him representing buffalo. start throwing these guys in jail for a night, maybe that will help. and anyone applauding attempts to injure are probably luck to not be in prison themselves.hard to imaging kassian even making it through a physical 7 game playoff series w/o getting suspended.
