10/6 Recap: Nelson strikes; Compher makes exhibiton debut

Logan Nelson scored his third goal of the year Sunday as
Victoria edged Tri-City 2-1. All three of Nelson’s goals this year have come
with the man advantage. The Royals will look for another victory Friday when
they host Lethbridge.

In exhibition play, J.T. Compher recorded five shots on goal
while centering the second offensive unit as Michigan was defeated by the
University of Waterloo 2-1. The freshman played the point on the Wolverine’s
top power play unit in the loss. Next up for Michigan is a non-conference
battle with Boston College on Thursday.
