Osburn contributes in Phantoms win

University of Wisconsin commit Luke Osburn netted his first goal of the season Friday and added an assist on the game-winning goal as Youngstown edged Sioux City 5-4. Osburn’s multi-point effort was his first of the season after notching four multiple points games in 2023-24.

Stiven Sardarian scored for the second straight game as Michigan Tech dropped a 4-1 home-ice decision to Clarkson. Sardarian, who entered the contest averaging over 18 minutes of playing time per game with his new club, continues to lead Tech in the early stages of the season with 12 shots on goal.

Jake Richard posted one assist as Connecticut and No. 15 Massachusetts played to a 3-3 tie. Richard has a point in five of six games this season.

Aaron Huglen recorded one assist and won eight of 14 draws, and Brodie Ziemer contributed two shots on goal as No. 5 Minnesota stormed past St. Thomas 7-1.

Patrick Geary earned a helper for his first point of the season and Maxim Strbak registered a pair of shots on net in No. 4 Michigan State’s 3-0 blanking of Canisius.

Big minute defenseman Gavin McCarthy (-1) earned roughing and interference penalties as No. 3 Boston University was smoked by No. 7 North Dakota 7-2.

Adam Kleber produced three shots on goal as Minnesota Duluth upended Stonehill 5-1.

Ryerson Leenders stood tall with 38 saves, but saw his three-start winning streak snapped as Brantford fell to London 4-3 in overtime.

Ethan Miedema ended his two-game point drought with an assist in Kingston’s 7-2 loss to Oshawa.

Simon-Pier Brunet landed five shots on goal as Drummondville was defeated by Moncton 5-1.

Topias Leinonen stopped 20 of 22 shots in Mora’s 3-0m loss to Tingsryds. Leinonen’s third-straight defeat moves him to 4-4-0-0 on the year with a 2.40 GAA and .904 save%.

Viljami Marjala skated for a season-low 14:43 in TPS’ 5-3 victory over Ilves.

Prokhor Poltapov earned 14:13 of even strength ice time as CSKA Moscow got past Kunlun 4-3 in overtime.

Joel Ratkovic-Berndtsson notched one assist as Vastervik defeated Morrums 4-1. Ratkovic-Berndtsson has two points (1+1) through the first four games of his short-term contract with Vasterviks.
