Stiven Sardarian extended his goal-scoring streak to four games Saturday as Michigan Tech defeated Ferris State 3-1. Sardarian, who has also collected three consecutive game-winners, leads his new club with six goals and nine points through his first eight games.

Brodie Ziemer bunted home the overtime winner as No. 3 Minnesota earned a 3-2 victory and completed the road sweep of rival Wisconsin. Ziemer, who also assisted on the game-tying goal in the third period, registered the first multiple point game of his NCAA career. Aaron Huglen centered the Gophers’ third line, providing one shot on goal in the victory.

Elsewhere in the NCAA, freshman defenseman Adam Kleber recorded a season-best six shots on goal as Minnesota Duluth was swept by No. 10 North Dakota 4-1.

Gavin McCarthy continued to patrol the blueline on Boston University’s top defensive pair, logging a plus-2 rating and picking up a cross-checking minor as the No. 9 Terriers defeated Massachusetts Lowell 5-2.

Sophomore defenseman Maxim Strbak saw his two-game point streak snapped as No. 4 Michigan State earned their fifth-straight win 4-1 over No. 13 Ohio State. Strbak’s defensive partner, Hamburg native Patrick Geary, logged a plus-1 in the win.

Top line centerman Matteo Costantini went without a point as No. 14 Western Michigan double Omaha 4-2.

Jake Richard missed his second game in a row as Connecticut lost to Merrimack 5-2. Richard remains the Huskies’ leading point-getter with nine (4+5) in as many games.

AHL

Ryan Johnson supplied a career-best six shots on goal, but Rochester was unable to get a mark as their six-game winning streak came to a halt with a 5-0 loss to Wilke-Barre/Scranton.

USHL

Vasily Zelenov scored the game-winning goal early on the third period to push Green Bay to a 3-2 victory at Dubuque. Zelenov has lit the lamp on the power play in three consecutive contests.

Luke Osburn earned a power-play assist to give him points in back-to-back games as Youngstown got past Chicago 5-4 in overtime.

CHL

Ethan Miedema continued his hot hand with a goal and two assists to help Kingston to a 8-2 victory over Brampton. Miedema’s second three-point effort of the season gives him 21 points (9+12) through 19 games.

Ryerson Leenders allowed five goals on 21 shots before getting pulled in the third period as Brantford fell to Niagara 6-4. Leenders has lost his last four starts to move to 3-5-1 on the year with a 4.03 GAA and .880 save%.

Scott Ratzlaff stopped 22 of 27 shots as Seattle dropped a 5-2 home decision to Victoria. Ratzlaff, who has gone winless in his last six starts, slips to 4-5-1-1 with a 3.75 GAA and .892 save%.
