In Wednesday’s late game, Tyler Ennis (+3) potted a pair of goals and an assist as Medicine Hat pounded Moose Jaw, 8-2. The Edmonton native has scored 12 of his 18 points during his current seven game point-streak, and will look to keep it going on Friday at Regina.

Not sure where to say this so I’ll do it here: Your weekly three stars feature is awesome. Will Ennis spent another year in the W or are we looking at Portland next year?

We’re looking at Portland next season. He’ll be 20 next October, and this is his fourth WHL season. There’s no reason to let the talent fester in juniors.

Wow, adding Ennis next season to that squad…yikes. If one player from Portland makes it as a full-time Sabre next season, I’d assume that Gerbe would have the inside track, with a dark horse of Mancari if he keeps working on his footspeed.Adding Ennis and subtracting Gerbe from the Pirates…I don’t think they’d miss a step. Exciting news.
