So would you say it’s going to look something like this next year:Forwards- Orpik replaces Mancari (who stays w/ us)- Ennis replaces Gerbe (who comes up)- Byron replaces Kennedy (who comes up)- Allard replaces Zagrapan (who doesn’t get resigned)- Gogulla comes to PortlandDefense- Brennan replaces Weber (who comes up)- Schiestel replaces Butler (who may come up)- Persson replaces Card or Gragnani (who still may move back to LW)- Myers has chance to make the Sabres?

  2. I definitely think Myers has a chance to make the big club next season, but that would make the D very, very thin on years with Rej already there and Weber and Butler knocking.I’m hoping they sign Orpik. He’ll be effective immediately on a line with Schutz. I don’t want to forget about Generous as a wildcard for AHL blueline depth. If he stays healthy all year, I think you have to give it some thought.I sometimes wonder if Gogulla stays in Germany, especially if Cologne eyes a move to the KHL. I think it’s a two-year window to get him on to the NHL roster. Get him on the phone with Felix so he can hear how nice Portland is.The Sabres like Allard. He’s a nice player, but I have reservations about him making an impact at the NHL level until he gets more dirt under his fingernails. He skates and works hard, but I want to see it come through regularly. The AHL is so developmental at this point that I’m sure he’ll get his look.Zagrapan and Afinogenov to Russia in exchange for a transfer agreement and the 2nd rounder for Kriukov…
