With his SEL season over, Swedish news outlet Sodermanlands Nyheter is reporting that Dennis Persson, 20, is awaiting a work visa to finish the year with the Sabres AHL affiliate in Portland.
The 6’1, 187-pound Persson will add mobility, heady passing, and a solid point shot to a depleted Pirates blueline. Buffalo’s first-round pick in 2006, Persson adjusted to a more defensive role while averaging 12:09 of work down Timra’s right side. In 46 games, the lefty scored one goal and five assists to go along with a -8 rating.
